The alpaca poncho reached 52″ last night! I very eagerly cast off, and today I started blocking it!
Unblocked it was 52″x13″. Blocking now, it’s 54″x 19″. The t-square ruler did come in very handy in this case. Lots of t-pins here…it kept wanting to shrink back. I spritzed it with water, so now I’m just waiting for it to dry! More photos:
I can’t wait to sew it up and wear it. With the cold weather hanging around, I should be able to get some use out of it before it’s time to pack away the winter clothes!
So, after I cast off, I had to dive into my next project. I’ve been very excited about this. It’s the Janet lace shawl from Knitpicks, in the colourway Sunrise.
Here is what it’s supposed to look like:

And here is what I have so far:
Ummm, yeah, long way to go! I’m at round 21….of 98. *gulp* Yes, I have my work cut out for me!

Well done on the poncho!
The shawl yarn is beautiful!
*grumble*
Mine still sits half-done in my workbasket.
Congratulations anyway, O Knitter Extrordinare.
