My two friends each have babies. One is 9 months, the other is a newborn. I’m making each of them a Shining Star. I finished the first one yesterday and I’m most of the way through the second one today. I also made myself a set of 6 3-inch wooden DPNs. After wrestling with the teeny tiny cast on from the first hat, I realised that the main problem was the length and weight of the DPNs…also the fact that they were slippery as hell! The wood likes to grab the yarn so I didn’t have needles slipping out all over the place, and they were very small and easy to work with. I took a pic of the hat when there were only about 8 stitches on each needle…but as usual, it’s going to have to wait till tomorrow. Yeah, I’m lazy.
